How 15 Young Filmmakers Captured the Spirit of Change in Oberlausitz

Our idea sparked – and how.
With ClipQuest.Lausitz, we at respect.agentur – in cooperation with MGO – launched a creative talent project that gave young filmmakers the chance to raise their voices and tell the story of a region in transformation.

In just three days, 15 participants worked in three teams to each create a video clip on a topic that reflects the current change happening in Lausitz:

Cultural Landscape & World Heritage

Humans in Harmony with Nature
(UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Oberlausitzer Heath and Pond Landscape)

Coal in Transition
From open-pit mining to renaturation and tourism

Guided by experienced mentors from the film and media industry, the participants produced not only three impressive films, but also unleashed a wave of creative energy that reached its peak during the screening at Filmpalast Bautzen:
Pure goosebumps.

The result: Three perspectives that move. Three stories that inspire. And a region that dares to tell its future.

We’re proud to have developed and realized the creative concept behind this one-of-a-kind initiative – and we’re already looking forward to the next round: ClipQuest.Lausitz 2026.
